See how you can help Sew and Serve!
Drop Off Location
We have local makers/seamstresses making these masks by hand all over the City/Suburbs of Indianapolis and surrounding counties. They make masks using the patterns approved by our group. When they are complete, they drop them off at the nearest “Drop Off Location,” which is typically the front porch of a member’s house. Read more about the responsibilities of being a Drop Off Location and submit your application to help by following this link:
DISPATCH “runners” pick up completed masks from one drop off location and take them to another to complete an order. Read more about the responsibilities of joining the Dispatch Team, see where you can indicate specific availability and sign up by following this link:
Kit Assembly Team
The main responsibility of a Kit Assembly Team Member is taking raw material and turning it into a kit for others to sew! We need fabric washers, ironers, cutters, assemblers, and people who want to do it all! Our sewing volunteers love this service! To read more about this opportunity and sign up to volunteer, follow this link and fill out the form:
If you have your own materials, get started by sewing any of our approved patterns at sewandserve.com/patterns and dropping them off at your closest drop off location (sewandserve.com/drop-off). You can also join us on Facebook at Facebook.com/SewandServeIndy. If you have run out of materials and would like to request a kit that includes material and elastic/t-shirt yarn to make 20 standard masks, fill out this Kit Request Form and you will be notified when your kit is ready for pick up at the indicated Drop Off location.
